My mother cut out an article from a parenting magazine* in Spanish on nutrition for me to share with you guys. Sophia isn’t a picky eater but I am and my mother went through A LOT trying to get me to eat nutritious foods.

I’ve translated and summarized for you.

If your child rejects broccoli and carrots, don’t worry. You can find the same minerals and vitamins in fruits and veggies that your child DOES like.

Carrots: If your child doesn’t like to eat this veggie packed full of Vitamin A, try offering sweet potato fries, melon or dried apricots.

Broccoli: Having trouble getting your toddler to eat his/her broccoli? You can find Vitamin C in lots of foods like tomato sauce, red or green peppers and strawberries.

Spinach: Your child doesn’t like to eat Spinach. Not a problem! Your toddler can still get their Potassium from baked potatoes, plantains or steamed edamame (soy beans).

Lettuce: This one is tricky. But you can give your child the Folic Acid they need by offering green peas, orange juice or asparagus.
